Tuition
Policies
- All payments are made directly to
National Midwifery Institute, Inc.
- Payment of all program fees must be completed prior to graduation from the program. During a payment plan, tuition may be paid ahead or in full at any time.
- Refunds - Application, tuition and fees are nonrefundable. NMI reserves $2400 of each student’s tuition for payment to a preceptor. If a student withdraws from the program after twelve months, the unused portion of the preceptor fees is refunded within 60 days.
- Penalties and Reinstatement -
Program fees past due 30 days will be assigned a 15% late fee. If fees remain unpaid an additional 30 days after penalty is assigned, the student will be suspended from the program. Program instructors and preceptors are notified and students may not continue to submit course
work or experience documentation. Transcript records reflect student work during which time the tuition was paid and current. Students wishing to be reinstated must pay all past due fees and penalties, plus a reinstatement fee of $250. Students may be dropped from the program for prolonged delinquent payment and suspension. Reinstatement following dismissal may be granted by program directors. Upon written request for re-enrollment, program directors review student records and may set perimeters for re-enrollment. The reinstatement fee following dismissal is $500, and all previously delinquent fees must be paid upon re-enrollment. Clinical experience requirements for graduation include the currency terms described by NARM.
- Financial Aid - Title IV funding is currently not
available for students in distance-only programs.
Note: Students must complete the
program within seven years; extensions are reviewed on a case by case
basis.
