Application, Fees, Filing Structure, and Timeline for the CML Challenge Program

Applicants have one year from date of application to complete the CML Challenge Program, including payment of all fees, remediation (academic and clinical) necessary to meet CML Challenge Program requirements, and completion of the CML Challenge Written Examination (extensions may be granted if exam retakes are necessary). Fees may be paid online.

All CML Challenge fees are non-refundable. CML Challenge fees total $7,500, to be paid as follows:

To enroll in the CML Challenge Program - Step 1 pay fee of $2500 and submit the following documentation to nmioffice@nationalmidwiferyinstitute.com (please refer to forms for completion instructions):

To enroll in Step 2 of the CML Challenge Program - Step 2, pay fee of $3,000 for receipt and processing of the following documentation (instructions for completing forms will be provided the Challenge Administrator):

  • Academic Source Documents

  • Gap Analysis Chart of Completed Academic Study (including annotated academic source documents)

  • Applicant’s Experience for Verification

  • Physician Verifier Information and Agreement

  • Midwife Verifier Information and Agreement

During this period, the following Additional Trainings must be completed:

  • Neonatal Resuscitation (NRP), dates must be current at the time of the CML Challenge Written Examination, and;

  • Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation/Basic Life Support (CPR/BLS), dates must be current at the time of the CML Challenge Written Examination.

To enroll in the CML Challenge Program - Step 3, pay fee of $2,000 to register for the NMI CML Challenge Written Examination (CML Challenge Administrator will email midwife-applicant a confirmation and guidelines for taking the exam, including available exam dates and location details).
