Applicable law mandates the reporting of certain unlawful activity, including:

  • suspected child abuse and/or neglect

  • discrimination, harassment, or sexual misconduct (see the Anti-Sexual Harassment Policy and Non-Discrimination Policy);

Additionally, NMI expects, and in some cases requires, members of its community to report all information regarding any activity related to the school they reasonably believe to be wrongful or unlawful, including activities that may constitute:

  • fraud;

  • unethical business conduct;

  • academic misconduct (see the NMI Student Handbook);

  • fraud, waste, abuse, or mismanagement in connection with student aid;

  • circumstances of substantial, specific, or imminent danger to faculty, staff, or students or the public’s health and/or safety;

  • other violations of the School’s policies or procedures; or

  • other violations of local, state, or federal laws or regulations.

How to file a complaint:

Members of the NMI community may report evidence of suspected wrongful or unlawful activity by emailing any of NMI’s Directors - see NMI’s About Us page for contact information.

NMI community members who prefer to report anonymously may do so by submitting the form below. Please note there may be limitations on anonymous complaints as outlined in NMI’s Non-Retaliation policy.
