Federal Aid

The National Midwifery Institute does not have any financial aid or student loans available at this time. NMI is not a Title IV school. NMI students are not eligible for federal financial aid or student loan deferment.

Student Loans

Students may apply for a private student loan with Meritize if they desire. NMI accepts Meritize loans for tuition.

Scholarships

NMI may, from time to time, offer scholarships to NMI students. These will be announced to students directly.

Ayanna Ade Scholarship

The AYANNA ADE BLACK STUDENT MIDWIFE SCHOLARSHIP AWARD

Shafia Monroe Consulting (SMC) proudly announces the 4th Annual Ayanna Ade Black Student Midwife Scholarship Award.

In honor of Ayanna Ade’s contribution to midwifery, SMC will award a scholarship to one recipient for a minimum of $1,200.

Eligibility Requirements: Must be an African American enrolled in a recognized US Midwifery College/School or Apprenticeship Midwife Training Model with a preceptor. This scholarship recognizes all midwifery educational programs.

To Apply: Email your 200-300-word essay on how this scholarship will help you emulate the work of Ayanna Ade in your midwifery career. Include your full legal name, a photo in color, your email address, your mailing address, your phone number, and a letter from your school or preceptor stating you are currently enrolled.
