NBMA's Lanieyah Setticase Memorial Scholarship, now open for applications until February 25, 2024.🙌🏾💜

🌟The Lanieyah Setticase Memorial Scholarship is for Black single parent student midwives and will award two recipients in 2024. Scholarship winners will be first announced at the #NBMA2024Conference. Please note: Attendance at the conference is NOT a requirement to apply or receive this scholarship.

💜Lanieyah was a doula and birth justice organizer at the Southern Birth Justice Network, NBMA’s parent organization. She was an aspiring student midwife who passionately believed in the rights and voices of young mothers of color and left an indelible mark on the communities she served across the Miami, Florida area. She was a proud single, young mother of four resilient children, beloved daughter, and devoted and loving friend to many. The goal of this scholarship is to continue to serve the population she so passionately cared and advocated for.
