Course Module

In order to complete this section of coursework, you will be re-directed to an outside course provider to complete the course Culturally and Linguistically Appropriate Services (CLAS) in Nursing. The course is free and issues a certificate of completion for each of the 4 courses within the CLAS training. Submit one (1) certificate of completion reflecting all four courses along with the Module Submission Attestation Form linked below. (This course meets the NARM requirement for certification or recertification, and can be retaken every 3 years).

*Please note, this is the required NMI Cultural Competency & Cultural Humility coursework. The course was previously called “Culturally Competent Nursing Care: A Cornerstone of Caring” and was updated February 13, 2024. If you completed the previous version and submitted the certificate, this requirement is met. When you complete this new CLAS course, submit one certificate of completion for all 4 parts of the course to NMIStudyGroup@NationalMidwiferyInstitute.com.
